Audrey Ra, thank you for sharing your “Circles of Affirmation.” I’m fairly new to watercolor and still feel uncomfortable using them at times. This technique is one I look forward to trying. I especially like the idea of focusing on the brush and the movement of color to lessen the automatic negative thinking about the (so-called) imperfection of my circles. Great exercise!

Thanks for this reminder that positive self talk and being kind to myself and my art can be the first step in healing.

    Audrey
When you began to just draw circle on the paper
Before I begin any painting I take a liner brush and write words of kindness, hope, blessings!
The crater dries, but the words remain?
Then I begin to paint with colours!
The words remain and go into people’s homes!

Thank you for sharing this nice watercolor technique. I’m new to watercolors and always wondering how to use them. I love what I created! I can’t believe I did this using only circles and two colors.
