About Nancy Dawes

Certified Zentangle Teach (CZT), Artist
Nancy is a Certified Zentangle Teacher™ (CZT) who focuses on helping students draw mindfully and grow into the artist that has been hiding in their soul. One spark of creativity and gentle encouragement is often all it takes to transform a student’s thinking from “I can’t draw that” to “wow, I can’t believe I drew that”. As a developer and business analyst who always wanted to learn to draw, Nancy experienced a similar journey. Teaching crafting, card making and scrapbooking was her passion for many years. Taking a Zentangle™ class with a local instructor in 2013 opened a new world of drawing and art techniques. She quickly decided that Zentangle would be added to her teaching portfolio. Nancy enjoys designing classes to help students along their own art journey. Her classes in Courtenay, British Columbia, on Zoom, and around North America include Zentangle drawing, eco-printing, book making, Celtic Knot drawing, and various mixed media techniques.
