Karen, I really enjoyed your presentation! I am 60 years old and wanting to learn how to paint and create again without beating myself up. I am a perfectionist and I find it hard to make something nice and not like a 2 year old did it. I have always loved arts and crafts since I was a child, but I find it hard to let my creative side out…. I have been learning how to make junk journals for the last year and I love it but I just want to add that special touch to them with painting and drawing.
Thank you for inspiring me with your little cute flowers and notes. I am going to watch your YouTube video right now and try and make a couple of those notecards and pockets!

Hi Karen, Your story is so inspiring and motivational. Your work is beautiful and I’m excited to make these little pockets to give away randomly to others, not just left around to be found…or not. Thank you!!

Thank you for the wonderful presentation. I am coming out of a season of illnesses, where I sustained a disabling injury at work, then developed several autoimmune conditions. I stopped making art altogether. I moved into a RV and spent several months in the Arizona desert to try to reorient myself to life with disabilities. I tried digital art due to lack of space for art supplies, but it’s not feeding my soul like making physical art. Thanks to your inspiring story, I think I will downsize the unnecessary things in my living space to make room for my supplies, and begin again.
Love the card and envelope tutorial. I think I will enjoy making them and gifting them very much.

Thank you , Karen. I struggle with acceptance self caring because my adult son is struggling with a nasty auto immune disease that just won’t go away. I have guilt over things I didn’t do well in the past so it is very hard to let my 76 year old self feel good when he can’t.
