Amy Backos, founder, and CEO of The Modern Creative Woman, brings nearly three decades of experience as a creativity expert, registered and board-certified Art Therapist, and licensed psychologist. She is a featured presenter at the local and national level, author of three art therapy and creativity books (translated into multiple languages), and she is hostess of The Modern Creative Woman Podcast. Her research on trauma, creativity, neuroaesthetics, and social justice can be found in peer reviewed journals. Her tenure includes, past chair of a graduate art therapy psychology department, two Veteran’s Administration Hospitals, clinical director at a rape crisis center, and she is a mom.
